Very pleasant to live in, the Rhodesian Ridgeback is an intelligent animal. Faithful, very affectionate, he learns quickly. No need to train him like a guard dog because it is in his nature.
Protector towards his master and his family, he is the ideal playmate for children, including toddlers.
Nevertheless, it is a dog which does not support the useless agitation and turns out reserved with the people which it does not know.
